Dr. Paul Braunschweiger Scholarship Awards its First Recipient

Congratulations to Dr. Dianne Nagy, the new Assistant VP for Research Development and Administration at South Dakota State University (SDSU). She is the first recipient of the annual Dr. Paul Braunschweiger Scholarship program, which provides funds for an emerging professional to attend a conference in research ethics. Dr. Nagy is a shining example of a research professional dedicated to responsible and ethical conduct of research. In her time as SDSU’s Research Integrity and Compliance Officer she has:

  • Trained students and faculty in the responsible conduct of research.
  • Guided SDSU’s Animal Care and Use, Human Subjects, and Biosafety regulatory committees.
  • Handled allegations of research misconduct.

Dianne is also the vice chair of the Brookings Area League of Women Voters, vice chair of the Brookings Human Rights Commission, and founding member and convener of the Brookings Interfaith council.
