Additional content is meant to supplement this foundation by focusing on healthcare roles and types of activities, since HIPAA’s requirements are largely conditioned by the purposes behind the collection, use, or disclosure of health information.

Basics of Health Privacy CME/CEU Badge

Provides general information about health privacy, applicable to all members of the healthcare workforce. It is focused on HIPAA requirements, such as patients’ rights to notice of privacy practices, access to and amendment of records, disclosure accounting, limits on certain kinds of communications, and limits on certain kinds of additional uses.
