Paul Braunschweiger, PhD

Dr. Paul Braunschweiger, Professor Emeritus at the University of Miami, conducted basic cancer research and published more than 100 peer reviewed papers during his more than 25 years at UM. For more than 12 years he chaired the UM IACUC. In 2000, together with Ms. Karen Hansen, Braunschweiger led the development and administration of the CITI Program at UM. Over the years he has been funded by the NIH, DoE, ORI, DoN and Fogarty International. In 2016, Dr. Braunschweiger led the successful transition of CITI from the University to BRANY. He remained its managing director until his retirement in 2018.
